ALBANY, Ind. – An Albany man was killed Sunday morning when his van fell on him while he was changing the oil.

Kyle Wayne Bradburn, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene by medics after being pinned under his van for at least 5-10 minutes, according to Deputy Coroner Clarence Brooks. The van was up on ramps in the front yard of Bradburn’s home on Plum Street when one of the ramps slipped, according to Brooks.

Several of Bradburn’s family members had gone inside the house briefly before the accident occurred, and came out to find him pinned under the van. Emergency responders were called to the scene around 11 a.m. Sunday.

An autopsy is planned for Monday, Brooks said. Garden View Funeral Home will handle funeral arrangements.
